Hands On Ministry Opportunities in June!
Iftar Meal Set Up
We are hosting the 3rd Annual fast-breaking Iftar on the evening of Saturday, June 1 at 8:00pm. We expect about 100 participants and the J&W Team would appreciate help in setting up Paxton Hall from 2:00 to 4:00 that day. If you can help contact Gayle Bridger (email@example.com), or Rick Lathrop (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thanks
Aurora Pride Parade Participation and Preparation
Open and Affirming steps out as CCoB participates in the Aurora Gay Pride Parade...leaving after the worship service on June 9th.
On Sunday, June 2 ...we will meet in the back of Paxton Hall to make signs etc. for the parade. All are welcome to join us. A special need during the parade is “Mom Hugs” ...a number of LGBTQ people do not receive affirmation from their parents, we are seeking 2-4 moms willing to identify as mothers and offer quick mom hugs along the edge of our unit....or carry sign identifying self as an affirming mother
Second Fridays in Downtown Batavia
Please join our Outreach and Faith Formation Teams in front of the church on Friday, June 14 from 6pm to 7:30 p.m. We will be offering popcorn, lemonade, and face painting while people are out walking to and from Batavia Main Street’s Second Friday activities. We will be asking for donations to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. We could use some help with face painting and popping the popcorn. Please contact Carlene Hougen, Maureen Huey or Laura Bernabei
