Ways to serve in our community. Food Sharing Days, Feed My Starving Children and Cleaning the River!

April 14 (Saturday) - FOOD SHARING DAYS. The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry is holding Food Sharing Days on April 14 and 15.  We need volunteers to pass out lists of the Pantry's food donations needs in front of Berkley's.  We are scheduled to pass out leaflets on April 14, from 9-11 or 11-1. 

May 11 (Friday) - FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN  We will help pack food from 6-7:30PM.  Location: 555 Exchange Court, Aurora

MAY 19 (Saturday) - LOVE OUR RIVER DAY - Help take care of God's marvelous creation, the Fox River. Join us and Friends of the Fox in their annual river cleanup and community celebration with music, food, canoe rides, contests, and more.  Fun for all ages.  Time: 9-12. Location: Blackard Skate Park (off Rt. 25) in Batavia.

Heritage Woods of Batavia is looking for people to volunteer with some of the activities that they offer their residents.  Heritage Woods is an assisted living community on Wilson St.  If you are interested please call Kolleen Rojas at 630-330-5343 for more information.

Please remember the Batavia Apartments need paper towels, toilet paper, and diapers supplies and diapers for their in-house “store”. Their residents, who are on limited budgets, earn points for participating in various activities. These points can be used purchase items at the “store”. Donation bins are outside Paxton Hall.
