Christian Education Wing Update – Mark Your Calendars

Asbestos removal is complete!  With a large crew and a Saturday work day, the contractor was able to complete our work ahead of schedule.  If you have some extra time and want to join us, this is what we will be doing.

Work Days:

July 5 (9 – noon)

July 6 (9 – noon)

July 7 (TBD)

·       Ready the closets for painting—i.e. taping the shelving

·       Final re-finishing of the copper/brass kick plates (Dave Hummel has been experimenting with some extra fine sandpaper—amazing finish.)

·       Light washing of drywall repairs on block walls

·       Cutting and disposing of removed bulletin boards

·       Clean and varnish wooden stair rail

·       Clean all wood shelves from built-in classroom closets

·       Clean the Thomas Chapel sign

·       Wash glass windows above each door to receive classroom numbers

·       Strip, stain and varnish wood threshold at boys and girls bathrooms

·       Remove switch plate covers

·       Clean the metal grate on inside of powder room door

Work Days:

            July 10 (9 – noon)

            July 11 (9 – noon)

            July 12 (7 a.m. delivery of cabinets)—help needed

                          (7 a.m. – 3 p.m.)—installation

            July 13 (9 – noon)

            July 14 (9 – noon)

        Install remaining windows (pending their delivery, TBD)

·       Assist with delivery and/or install

·       Painting of closets and office

·       Misc.
